Winner of the Telegraph Family Friendly Museum Award 2014, silver winner of UK Heritage Attraction of the Year at the British Travel Awards 2014 and Best Museum at the Cornwall Today Awards 2014, the National Maritime Museum Cornwall has 15 galleries, over five floors beautifully illustrating the past, present and future of our island nation.

Take an epic journey into the Viking world with the new Viking Voyagers exhibition. Discover the secret to the Vikings success and explore the truth behind the popular myth of the bloodthirsty raiders.

Get up close to rare antiquities, many on display for the first time in the UK, on loan from the British Museum, National Museum of Ireland, Manx National Heritage and National Museum of Denmark. Encounter Norse voyagers and experience Viking life over 1000 years ago with interactive exhibits and climb aboard a full scale replica Viking ship.

So much more than just a Museum about boats, explore the stories of the people who used these vessels and the adventures they had in them. Ascend the 100ft Look Out tower and see Falmouth's famous harbour from the skies; descend into the Tidal Zone to appreciate one of only three natural underwater galleries in the world; and be spellbound by a sky filled with a flotilla of flying boats. Explore our maritime heritage and heroes, discover Cornwall's past, its people and the part they played in making Britain great.

With hands-on activities, talks, lectures, workshops, rotating events and exhibitions, there's so much happening, don't miss your chance for a visit. The National Maritime Museum Cornwall is the Museum to have fun in whatever the weather!
