About Cressbrook Hall
derby cressb 3Set amidst 23 acres of park and woodland with spectacular views over the waters of Water-cum-Jolly Dale in the Derbyshire Peak, Cressbrook Hall is a stunning and secluded venue for weddings, anniversaries, family reunions, private occasions and corporate events.

This Tudor-style mansion, built in 1835 during the reign of William IV, is certainly impressive. Yet behind its magnificent facade the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, evoking all the comforts of a gracious country home - as indeed it is.

The Hull-Bailey family have lived in and managed Cressbrook Hall for over 30 years. Bobby Hull-Bailey and her daughter Harriet have been lovingly restoring its grandeur so that other people can share in its beauty and majestic charm.

Cressbrook Hall is no ordinary venue - the first sight of it will take your breath away. But there's more to Cressbrook Hall than the view. The staff who work here from the local villages have become part of Cressbrook Hall's extended family, many of them have been here for two decades or more! They create a genuine warm welcome for all their guests, helping to make every celebration unique and memorable.

If you're looking for somewhere 'a little bit special', come and find it at Cressbrook Hall.

Accommodation at Cressbrook Hall is centred on eight individual self-catering limestone properties within the grounds, beautifully appointed with stylish interiors and traditional furnishings.

There are also select Bed and Breakfast rooms in the main hall itself offering luxurious accomodation with panoramic views of Water-cum-Jolly, Upperdale and North to the village of Cressbrook. Bed and Breakfast accommodation is regrettably not available for weddings, but larger groups such as wedding parties or corporate groups often choose one or more of our beautifully appointed cottages.

Whether you are planning a social occasion, an anniversary party, a corporate event or just a blissful weekend in idyllic surroundings - you'll certainly enjoy the peace and harmony, not to mention spectacular views at every turn, and a personal approach to hospitality.

Cressbrook Hall Angling Breaks
Cressbrook Hall invites fly fishers from around the world to enjoy the perfect angling holiday: the crystal-clear waters of the internationally famous river Wye, teamed with a warm welcome in our perfectly located self-catering or bed and breakfast accommodation.

The limestone rivers of Derbyshire have a unique place in the history of fly fishing, and few keen anglers will be unaware of the Derbyshire Wye, with its wild rainbow and brown trout, as well as grayling. Our neighbours at the Cressbrook and Litton Flyfishers Club have available three quarters of a mile of double bank fishing between Cressbrook Mill and the Upperdale carpark, just a few minutes stroll from your accommodation.
