Your hostess, Josephine Kitchin, welcomes you to our home in the heart of Robin Hood country. My husband and I have lived in the village of Farnsfield for 40 years, and here at Grange Cottage for 35 years. We are delighted to share our much loved home with you.

The House and Gardens.

Grange Cottage is a 300 year old Georgian house with oak beams, diamond leaded light windows and both beautiful and extensive gardens, complete with a wishing well in the drive. Nestling in a most attractive setting, embraced by beautiful countryside, Grange Cottage has two acres of spectacular gardens featuring 120 mature trees including Ash, Sweet Chestnut, Rowen, Holly, Yew, Larch, Weeping Willow and Silver Birch. The extensive grounds to include a cottage garden, a formal garden and a woodland garden. The formal garden includes a rill, lily pond and waterfalls. In one of the ponds are Koi Carp.

What we can do for you.

At Grange Cottage B & B we try harder. We do all we can to make your stay pleasant. You can have barbeques on the patio, wander through the floodlit gardens or simply sit on the swing seat and do nothing at all. If you wish, you can sit on the patio, amongst the beautiful trees and listen to the birds. We can arrange for a taxi to collect you from the railway station or airport, if you require.
We can offer you welcoming surroundings and good breakfasts, home-cooked from local produce. You will take breakfast in the original oak beamed dining room. If you prefer, we can offer a packed lunch instead of breakfast for those long days out with early starts.

Grange Cottage Bed and BreakfastAccommodation.

Available are 2 twin bed and 1 double bed letting rooms - two of which are en suite and the other has a private bathroom next door.

We have converted our 300-year old barn, which is adjacent to the main house, so we can now offer single-storey, self catering accommodation which sleeps 2 plus 2. It is suitable for some disabled with access for wheelchairs. The barn has a double bedroom, bathroom and open plan lounge and kitchen, which comprises a useful range of cupboards, cooker, washing machine and fridge freezer and looks on to the lovely gardens. It has its own central heating system and is very cosy and comfortable. For pictures, go to our website .

Pet Friendly.

Your pets are very welcome here, however we operate a no smoking policy in the house and Barn. We also offer secure on site parking with electric gates.
