Railway Heritage Walks in Shrewsbury

David Giddins of the Shrewsbury Railway Heritage Trust is organising some Railway Walks again, for people to enjoy an evening stroll and find out about Shrewsbury's rich history as a railway town.



The three walks are being held on Wednesday evenings at 7pm, with admission £3 per adult, (under 16's free but must be accompanied by an adult).

Walks are between 1 and 2 miles, and will take 2 hours of easy walking while David talks about the history of railways in and around the specific area of the walk. Walks start at the Old Abbey Station, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury – with the first one being held on 8th July titled: 'Underdale and the Potts'. The next walk is on 22nd July titled: 'Back of the Sheds' and the final walk in this series takes place on 12th August titled: 'Coton Hill and Crewe Bank'.
