Hands on History includes a fascinating glimpse into Victorian times, the Story of Hull and also features the Egyptian Gallery. This gallery is home to a genuine 2,600 year old mummy and unique replicas of King Tutankhamen's treasures.

There are three galleries at the Hands on History museum -

The Ancient Egypt gallery displays a genuine Egyptian mummy and an excellent collection of full size replicas of the treasures from the tomb of the boy pharaoh Tutankhamen made by Hull craftsmen for the British Empire Exhibition at Wembley in 1924.

The Story of Hull gallery explores life themes such as childhood, education, marriage, home and the world of work.

The Victorian Gallery brings Victorian childhood to life. Touch, smell and discover in our new hands-on space. Explore the lives of children living in Hull between 1837 and 1901.
